The economy is picking up gradually compared to a few months back, but there are still layoffs going on at our company in Americas and EMEA as well as in AP regions. HR team has come to our office in Tokyo from our head office to discuss something. They have been in one of the conference rooms all day for two days in a row now. All my colleagues are aware that something is going on in there and something not good is coming our way. Nobody can see the future ahead of us and our folks have been feeling so uneasy recently, wishing to survive a layoff. But for now, I don't want to think about it. I really don't.
